Sophia (Hysterectomy)

This is the chart of a woman who underwent a hysterectomy.

Venus opposite Pluto

Venus/Pluto is the primary astrological constant for abnormal growths or trauma within the female reproductive system. It is a combination that is frequently found within the charts of women who have undergone hysterectomies owing to endometriosis or some other traumatic reproductive concern.

Venus square Saturn

Venus/Saturn is not one of the astrological constants associated with female reproductive health conditions. However, it does denote a wider tendency to hormonal imbalance, particularly as it relates to hormones produced by the thyroid. Venus is the ruler of the sixth house of sickness. She is terrestrially located in the fifth house of children. This is a very straightforward statement that sickness will directly impact the native’s ability to have children within this lifetime. The opposition between Venus and Pluto refers to the traumatic impact that the illness in her womb will have upon her life in general.
The square from Venus to Saturn, and the fact that Venus is applying to Saturn, speaks to the chronic nature of the native’s ailment. The applying aspect is noteworthy because I have found that in natal astrology, applying aspects usually indicate something that will be of a continuous nature, extending even into the adult life of the native. Separating aspects, on the other hand, can refer to issues that the native experiences in their younger life, but that they ultimately grow out of and that there-fore cease to affect them in later life.

Moon parallel Mars

Moon/Mars is one of the primary astrological constants for wounding and scarring of the womb. This combination corresponds with heavy bleeding and excessive, knife-like pain within the abdomen during menstruation. It is also a combination that the ancients held to suggest “carving the baby out of the womb”, which today may refer to undergoing an abortion.

Mercury quincunx Saturn

Mercury/Saturn often features in the charts of women and men who are infertile. This is further corroboration that the native’s primary health conditions in this life-time will be ones that directly impact her reproductive system.
